It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a team that has accomplished all there is.

That it took until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if not afforded the chance.

That comment will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship want to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this success coming after win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.
