In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
